For a quick fix you can place a warm wet tea bag over the area or a cotton ball dipped in lemon juice (don’t use lemon juice if you have a sensitive skin). Check out http://solutionsforpimples.blogspot.com/ for more info and home remedies.

Tea Tree Oil = THE BEST, I've been using it for years!!!! Oatmeal masks are great too!
**Edit** Don't forget that you have to maintain moisture balance with an oil-free moisturizer, I prefer Alba Organics the Hawaiian line is fantastic! It's mostly organic & all natural "earthy" ingredients.hey…my skin is kinda lik urs…i used an acne med. that worked…but u said no med.
so there’s somethin that works like magic n its totally natural..bu tthe thing is i dunno what’s its name in english…i found a pic of it though
http://www.oller.net/myrrh.jpg
u put that in water for several hours then wash ur face/body with the water..it worked with lots of ppl b4…so give it a try
bubyeOk, a walk down memory lane here for me.
As a teenager, in junior high school (what they call middle school now), I had a very fair complection, while a lot of kids were troubled my acne. How proud I was of myself! Only to realize in high school, that I was merely a “late bloomer”. From the 10th grade onward, I had a major problem with acne.
My acne problem followed me into my college daze. But, it was here that I received the absolute best advice of my life, about fighting acne…and it came from a business professor!
One day in class, we were talking about marketing issues and the subject of selling soap came up. We discussed some of the commercials we often saw on TV, including the commericals (back then) for Irish Spring deodorant soap. The prof. then mentioned that deodorant soaps are sometimes unhealthy for the body, because they kill the “good germs” that live on our skin. This was the FIRST time I had ever heard of such a thing. For the past 4 years I had been using all manner of soaps and cleansers on my face to try to kill the dreaded acne.
Starting that day, I stopped using all soaps and cleaners. Yes, I too had (and still have) somewhat oily skin, but instead of scrubbing and washing my face with ANY soaps, I just started washing and rinsing my face MORE OFTEN using PLAIN WATER. The result? Within a week the majority of my acne had cleared-up. I still got the occassional pimple, but it was nothing like the proverbial pizza face problem that I had before.
Some years later I was actually able to find evidence about the so-called good bacteria that lives on our face. There are things call macrophages that are a bacteria that live on our skin…that eat the other more harmful bactria that cause acne. Do a websearch and see for yourself.
So, my advice? Stop using soaps and cleansers. Wash your face with plain water as often as possible (like once every two hours), and see if this makes a meaningful difference. If it does…I send you the bill for my experct medical advice.
Ok its gonna sound ridiculous but if your serious about getting rid of it then urine ok read this before you go crazy!
While it is a popular misconception that urine is a source of bacteria and bodily waste, urine from a healthy person is actually completely sterile. It contains an impressive amount of components, including amino acids, proteins, enzymes, carbohydrates, vitamins, hormones, as well as many non-organic substances such as chloride, phosphorus, sulphur, potassium, calcium, magnesium, iron, copper, zinc, cobalt, lead and mercury.
After all, urine has been used since Aztec and Egyptian times as a medical applicant, renowned for its healing properties, especially on open wounds and ‘visible diseases’ (acne is classed as a disease).
Precautions must be taken though of the kind of urine used. While drinking a lot of water results in clear urine (diluted), the most ideal colour is that of a healthy bright yellow, as the urine is more concentrated in this state and will have a more powerful effect. Also, when taking ones own urine for application, it is best to collect it mid-stream (onto a cotton ball/pad for example), as this means that any (unlikely) impurities are washed out as the urine exits the body during the first few seconds.
Application works best in the morning, and especially at night before going to bed, as the body and face relaxes, letting the urine react better.
Note: After the urine has been applied to the face, leave it to soak for at least 10 minutes before rinsing it off clear.
Depending on the skin type of course, this treatment should show results within a few days. Of course, as with any cleaning regimen, continued application is recommended to find out if it works effectively.

Best Home Remedies for Acne Scars?

Lemon juice! Squeeze a fresh lemon and apply the juice on the scars with a q-tip or cotton ball after you wash your face. Leave it on for about 10 minutes and then rinse off. It might sting, but that’s normal. But you have to be consistent! Do this everyday until they fade away. If you skip a couple days, you won’t see a difference.Hmn this isn’t a home remedy, but Palmer’s Cocoa Butter Forumla Vitamin E Serum is a really good, and it’s also not very expensive (well not here) so although it’s not a home remedy, it won’t break your budget either like some others!

Is there any home remedy to remove acne scars fast?
October 14, 2008
You can’t get rid of it fast…. the fastest would be like three months. lemon juice helps i’ve heard but i didnt really notice any difference. the only one that worked( that i show a difference) is netrogena cream. Also vitamin E is good for skin.Mederma is an over the counter ointment to treat and fade scars it is around $20-25.00. But you can go to a doctor and get a prescription for Retin-A, for a more effective treatment. It has multiple uses and is also good to treat ongoing Acne. When used on new scars or stretch marks it increases its effectiveness… of removing the scars completely. For older scars and stretch marks it will decrease and fade them. It also is prescribed for reduction/ treatment of wrinkles and fine line’s. It is a photosensitive medication so you need to use sunscreen and stay out of tanning salons when using this medication. I hope this helps answer your question

I have an acne problem. Does anybody know of any home remedies that actually work?
October 13, 2008
It may be good to take a look at your diet like fatty or fried foods may be contributing to acne, also, how and with what you clense your body with could either irriate acne or make it relaxed. This goes for clothing too that can be an irritant. Acne is very much a trial-and-error condition. What works for some people do not work for others.
There are various over-the-counter solutions which do work for some. Aside from benzoyl peroxide, salicylic acid products are another option. There’s everything from Oxy to Clean and Clear to SpectroGel and tons inbetween. I use Oxy pads as a preventative, now that my skin is getting better (with age).
My mother has chronic and ProActiv does work for her. It is expensive but does work for some (in her case, it is cheaper than her prescriptions and she needs to be presentable to clients). Although it works best with the full system, there are many people who just use a product or two. My mother gets too much of the mask with her system, so I occasionally use the leftovers.
You can also try natural products made with Tea tree oil. Spot treatments with rubbing alcohol can dry out an individual pimple, but don’t do too much or spread it much beyond the pimple - too drying. As well, masks made with blue corn make good treatments as well.
The only true routine is the basics: wash face, tone (use a toner, Oxy pad, whatever) then a moisturizer so your face doesn’t get too zapped (and moisture can help skin heal). Facial masks one a week or twice if your skin is oily. DO NOT OVER-PROCESS! Treatments take time, and sometimes you just haven’t found the right one. Doing too much will make it worse.
If you do choose to pop zits, realizing that it can harm your skin, wash your skin first and keep rubbing alcohol nearby (I actually will pop with alcohol-soaked Q-Tips, if I choose to). Once it pops open, you want to immediately wipe off the gunk and sterilize to ensure you do not spread that bacteria to other pores. And remember, there is now a little hole there that you need to let heal.
As for the toothpaste, that’s an urban legend. Some may dry the zit simply by absorbing mositure as they dry, but not all do (and if you want to try it, ensure you have paste not gel). As well, the ingredients in toothpaste aren’t going to help your face.
Above all: patience. GOOD LUCK!Be aware of some active ingredients like benzoyl peroxide, these ingredients can cause major side effects.
For better results, I suggest you also fight your acne from inside, because hormonal problems could also be the worst cause of acne. And for this kind of treatment, please choose safe ingredients… herbals are the best.
That’s why I highly recommend you use effective herbal treatments like this one >> http://dwarfurl.com/1c6a9
It’s very powerful, with no side effects reported.I actually have a list of 10 home remedies that are supposed to work such as
1 Applying cooked oatmeal to the face for 15 min
2 Grind nutmeg (jaiphal) with unboiled milk and apply on acne for 1-2 hours. This works as a magic. Pimples should disappear without leaving a mark.
3 Combining one table spoon of cinnamon with lemon juice and
rubbing it on the skin each day
4 Make a paste by mixing honey and cinnamon powder. Apply this paste on the pimples before sleeping and wash it next morning with warm water. Repeat for two weeks, pimples will disappear forever
5 Rubbing the affected areas with a fresh clove of garlic
6 Mixing baking soda with water and applying the paste to the affected areas for 15-20 min
7 Make orange peel paste by grinding it in some water. Apply on and around pimples.
8 Mix 1 tablespoon groundnut oil with 1 tablespoon fresh lime juice to prevent formation of blackheads and acne .
9 Apply juice of raw papaya (including the skin and seed) on swelling pimples or acne.
10 Apply fresh lime juice mixed to a glass of boiled milk as a face wash for pimples, blackheads, and cracked skin
I havn’t tried some of these but the are ‘Guaranteed’ to work
If you have an oily skin wash your face twice a day in warm salty water. This should leave your face oil free without aggravating the pimples like soap. The secret of keeping the skin clear is to keep it oil-free and clean. If you have a dry skin honey is a great remedy for acne and pimples because the honey kills bacteria. If you have a combination skin when you wash your face, use sugar to scrub it, at least once a day, for two weeks to rid yourself of acne. More such solutions at http://solutionsforpimples.blogspot.com/
Toothpaste, lime juice, tomato slices, home made packs can be used for treating acne. You can find more cheap, effective and natural home remedies for pimples at http://www.wellnesstalk.org/acne.html
Some of those are answers are true about using home remedies, it might work for some people & it might not work for others. However, home remedies does have been proven by traditions by generations in centuries. Some answers here about using toothpaste & alcohol are applicable also, since home remedies are not always related to natural remedies, it can be non-natural home remedies, such as first aid kits.
It would be the best solution to use natural ways for your problems here. Why dont you try apply honey as a masker, rub it on your face at least 3x a week, and leave it minimum 30 minutes, then wash your face with warm water and then cold water. This is a good natural way for prevention & natural cure. It works best for me, especially because I’m living in the most polluted metropolitan city & I always look for a natural remedies. I have tried medication but don’t work good on me, and besides that, they are more expensive & have bad side effects.
Other way is, rub pimple or acne candidate with garlic slice several times. It is claimed that they will not grow or bigger.
Please bear in mind, before you carry out these simple steps, make sure you have already cleaned your hands and the particular skin, including the garlic you will use as remedies.
Don’t forget also, your daily intake play significant to your overall health, including your skin & face. Increase your intake regularly with more fruits & vegetables, make it varied every day. Plus, drink water averagely 8 glass/day for better digestion. Avoid junk food, dried foods, preservatives, MSG, unhealthy snacks, etc. It’s the best to have your vegetables by steam/stew or boil instead of fry them in oil.
