What you need to do is STOP USING THE ACNE REMOVER!!!! And you need to wash off the dry area softly with soap and a washcloth and apply moisturizer. When I had that problem I used Mary Kay Timewise Age Removing Moisturizer. It clears the problem really fast Some reasons it may be dry is because it is too strong for your skin, you used too much of the product, you used it more than needed, or you scrubbed it roughly. Im not sure what you mean by darker? Like more red? Well I dont know, but my advice would be to stop using clean and clear and switch to another product. To make the dryness go away try face lotion (Aveeno Ultr-Calming works great, it helps remove redness). good luck
