Does washing your face with soap when you wake up and before bed help your acne?
Wash your face only one time a day. Don’t over wash , because that will cause only more production of oil on your skin. you can also use very gentle cleansers for normal skin that don’t dehydrate the skin and wash twice a day.
Anyhow, don’t go out and buy those "get rid of your acne in one day" pills that you can find anywhere online, they just don’t work and you will spend your money for nothing.

take careWashing made my face worse, and I always assumed it was because it made the skin tight and dry. I tried it for a few weeks because the health book at school said it was the thing to do but it sure didn’t help.
Cutting back on oily foods didn’t help, either. Come to think of it, the health book really struck out! The only (limited) success I had was with Noxema skin creme, and I just used that because my mom had some around the house. I think any moisturizing cream would help. Neutrogena works best on my dry hands, so if I still had acne I would probably try it. I’m almost 57 now….Most normal soaps (bar soaps) are not that great for your skin. Especially if the soap contains fragrance, which makes your skin more irritated, which can lead to more breakouts. If you’re just looking to clean your skin, then i suggest you use just plain old bar soap, like Dove or Ivory. If you have severe acne, then i suggest you go to your dermatologist and get a prescription. Things like Neutrogena or ProActive don’t really work for severe acne. Hopes this helps!Use only facial wash. Bar soap is not meant for the face. Its ok to wash your face 2-3 times a day.
PS- It has NEVER been proven that by washing your face more than 1 or 2 times a day increases oil production. I’m pretty shocked magazines and people on tv still say that. I guess may be using q-tips too much increases ear wax, or picking your nose too much makes more boogers. Both are false. Your skin has a set amount of sebum it produces which isn’t increased simply by washing it off.
