ClearPores Review - New Acne Treatment
July 24, 2008
Many visitors have been asking for a ClearPores review and we’re happy to oblige, as it is quickly becoming one of the most popular acne treatments on the market.
ClearPores is a three-part cleansing system consisting of a deep-cleaning wash, an herbal formula and a protection cream, sort of a one-two-three punch to eliminate acne externally and internally.
The first step unclogs the pores and combats bacteria buildup. The second step involves several potent herbal extracts that actually work from within to fight acne and prevent future breakouts. The third step is a topical cream that keeps pores clean and moisturizes the skin.
Our ClearPores review involved a number of our readers who volunteered to try the products for the recommended three month period. We’re happy to report that most of them did notice significant decreases in acne severity after just a month of using the 3-part Clear Pores system.
What was most attractive about this treatment option is the 6 month money back guarantee and the 24 hour customer support, which were big pluses for our pollsters that they didn’t find anywhere else.
Another interesting part of our ClearPores review was the fact that they make a face and a body system, which is great because most acne sufferers tend to get breakouts on their shoulders, backs and arms as well as their faces.
We will follow the results of these and other ClearPores acne treatment users over the next few months and keep you posted.
What are the Best Acne Vitamins?
July 24, 2008
You really are what you eat. This means that if you have a problem with acne vitamins and mineral supplements may make the difference between getting your skin under control and suffering for most of your young adult life with outbreaks.
Vitamin A is used as a prescribed medical treatment for acne, not just as an acne vitamin. Marketed as Accutane or Retin-A, megadoses of a specific subtype of vitamin A have been proven to reduce the problem of acne in even the most stubborn cases. However, the dosage required can be dangerous in some cases. For instance, it can cause birth defects to the unborn children of pregnant women who take it. It also causes the skin to be especially susceptible to sun damage. It’s usually prescribed by a doctor only after other regimens have not worked. A course of therapy lasts up to twenty weeks in most people.
Over-the-Counter Vitamins for Acne
If you’re not ready to plunge into the Accutane world, there are several other acne vitamins you can supplement your diet with to promote overall skin health and to help reduce and even cure your acne problems. Ordinary vitamin A supplements, if not taken in too-high dosages, can produce many of the same effects as Accutane, but won’t carry the same side effects. Be careful to not exceed the recommended daily allowance.
Vitamin E is known to be a great vitamin for overall skin health, and it can help fight low-grade cases of acne. While most people take vitamin E by mouth, the capsules usually come in a gel-coated liquid form. The liquid inside each capsule can be applied directly to the skin, but those who have sensitive skin may find this to be irritating rather than helpful.
If you take acne vitamins E and A, you should also take a zinc supplement with them. Zinc doesn’t directly affect the skin, but it does enhance the absorption of vitamin A and helps keep the levels of vitamin E in the blood stable. Zinc, applied directly to the skin, can also kill surface bacteria. A high-zinc concentrate ointment, such as Desitin (used to treat diaper rash), can be applied directly to an acne lesion to reduce its appearance overnight.
Selenium and magnesium aren’t vitamins for acne, but rather trace elements that most people don’t get enough of. The effects of these two minerals aren’t completely understood, but selenium seems to improve skin elasticity, a useful effect when you’re drying your skin out with acne treatments. It also helps boost the effects of vitamins E and A. Magnesium helps balance out your hormones, which can reduce the impact of hormonal cycles on acne breakouts.
A high-quality acne vitamin supplement is called Acnezine, and it contains special nutrients that attack breakouts at their source and reduce the likelihood of future blemishes.
In addition to these specific vitamins for acne, a deficiency in any vitamin may be enough to cause an acne outbreak. Always take a good general vitamin supplement with your acne vitamins, and take all vitamins with a meal that includes an 8-ounce glass of water and some fats to ensure your body absorbs them properly.
New FDA-Approved Acne Treatment
July 24, 2008
The FDA has just approved a new acne treatment from a company called Therative. It is a hand-held acne treatment device that supposedly incorporates technology previously found only in the dermatologist’s office.
The product will be called ThermaClear, and it is reported to be a unique and groundbreaking approach to acne and blemish treatment. According to a press release from the company, this new product will work in a manner similar to laser treatment, a common out-patient procedure used to treat moderate to more severe acne breakouts.
As new information emerges, we will bring it to you…so be on the lookout for a special new hand-held pimple zapper…..
What Causes Acne on Certain Areas of Your Face?
July 24, 2008
There was a time when i asked myself why i have acne problems only on certain area of my face? Why my forehead is perfectly clear, but in the same time acne on my cheeks are driving my crazy? Then i heard about Chinese medicine, about Shiatsu and other alternative treatments from girl giving in cosmetic salon giving my a facial treatment. I believed that natural east-based medicine can explain many diseases and health problems so i wanted to see what they say about acne.
Acne on our faces are telling us that something is not balanced inside our body. Main causes can be stress, hormones, digestive problems, weak liver. These factors are interconnected but Shiatsu medicine say that acne on certain areas of our face, can tell us what is the main cause and why we have acne breakouts. In Chinese medicine, acne on the cheeks would normally correspond to the Stomach (the Stomach “channel” on the face runs directly down from below the eye, thus covering the cheek.)
It may be representative of too much “Damp” and “Heat” in the Stomach channel which can arise for many reasons, e.g. emotional, dietry, menstrually etc.
Apparently, the areas that acne occurs on, on your face, are each caused by something different, be it stress, hormones or digestion. A problem with any of these could cause a certain area of your face to break out.
The area around the mouth and the chin is often indicative of Liver disharmony (the Liver channel deep pathway runs around the mouth). The Liver is particularly susceptible to Damp and Heat which are often the main causes of acne (in Chinese Medicine).
As we can see, main causes are stomach/digestive/intestines and liver problems. For those acne suferers where weak liver is root of acne, well known herb milk thistle is beneficial for making a liver stronger and eliminate toxins. Our stomach digests by using acid to break down the food into smaller particles so it can be easily absorbed by our intestines. The acid produced is hydrochloric acid (HCL) and it will break down protein, kill pathogens and microns, control absorption of B12, control absorption of nutrients, Vitamin C, created indigestion and prevents constipation. If our HCL level is low, this will contribute to acne growth. But the level of HCL can be increased by taking digestive enzyme that contains this acid.
For intestines and digestive problems related to your acne - you will benefit from Probiotic supplements. Probiotics are bacteria that help maintain the natural balance of organisms (microflora) in the intestines.
Any acne on your cheeks is probably caused by stress and stomach problems. This means if you are suffering from an ulcer or bloating or any other stomach issues, you could end up with cheek acne.
Acne found on the tip of your chin, on your nose, or on your chest and back come from a hormonal imbalance. They can be the result of many things from irregular periods to pregnancy. You will probably need help from your doctor to clear up these problems.
Acne Research - Acne Cure Finally FOUND?
July 24, 2008
POSITIVE RESULTS FROM PHASE I CLINICAL TRIAL OF SMT D002 FOR THE TREATMENT OF SEBORRHEA, A PRIMARY CAUSE OF ACNE
We all know that primary cause of acne is excessive sebum production, which is known to be successfully controlled by well known acne drug Roaccutane or Accutane. Roaccutane is known to work in almost all acne patients and it’s considered real acne cure, but in the same time is blamed for serious side effects including depression and mental problems, vision problems, liver intoxication etc. so it cannot be used long-term way. But unbelievable news is coming now from the Oxford,UK. Scientists are claiming that new drug tested under the name of SMT D002 can be used to control sebum production with same results as Roaccutane but without any serious side effects and in completely safe way.
“Acne sufferers all around the Globe are excited about news from the UK. This is a big hope for us.”
Research Summary
Oxford, UK, 15 April 2008, Summit Corporation plc (AIM: SUMM), a leading UK biotechnology company, today announces a positive outcome from its repeat-dose Phase I clinical trial of SMT D002, its candidate for the treatment of seborrhea (excessive sebum production), a primary cause of acne.
According to the study SMT D002 is proven to suppresses sebum levels by 90% in repeat-dose trial.
The study was conducted in 18 healthy volunteers and examined the effect of repeat oral doses of SMT D002 over a four-day period. The key findings of the Phase I clinical trial are:
? Statistically significant levels of sebum suppression (primary endpoint) of 90% when compared to the placebo group (p=0.04)
? SMT D002 proved to be safe with no serious or unexpected adverse side-effects reported
? Sebum levels measured over six hours following treatment using a Sebumeter, an industry accepted method
? Results from trial support a previous positive Phase I single-dose study conducted in nine volunteers
The results of this trial confirm the potential of SMT D002 as a new therapeutic agent for the treatment of seborrhoea in acne patients. Acne is a multi-billion dollar market and it is estimated that there are 54 million patients in the developed world with acne. Approximately eight million acne sufferers are also resistant to current topical retinoid acne treatments and therefore any new and effective treatment is anticipated to gain a sizeable share of this high-value market. In addition, seborrhoea is a non-motor symptom of Parkinson’s disease that is estimated to affect a large proportion of patients.
Summit plans to develop a topical formulation of SMT D002 to further evaluate its efficacy in the treatment of acne and the Company is actively seeking a commercial partner to advance this candidate from the clinic through to the market.

All about Your Acne Scars - Solution Exist
July 24, 2008
Recently i thought a lot about acne scarring and how to deal with that one. First of all, if you have scare-prone skin, you must to treat your active acne and make sure you’re free of breakouts. There are lot of different treatments both topical and oral, and you should find your solution. You can always contact your dermatologist and he can help you. If you are in that group of unlucky people who tried all that medications and treatments and nothing seemed to work for your active acne, then speak with your dermatologist and he will consider topical Tretinoin or Roaccutane for you. If you are free of acne, but you are left with lot of acne scarring there is numerous treatments you can do for your skin and beauty.
Please carefully watch this video. You will learn lot about your acne and scars problems. You will see different treatments and solutions.
You will also see that you are not alone in this problems because some celebrities suffer from same skin problems as you. Just take a look at the video.
There are two types of scars : Atrophic and non atrophic. Atrophic are depressed scars where skin tissues is lost, and non atrophic are those ones where skin level was risen up. Alpha Hydroxy Acids - Fruity acids are known to restructure skin and heal atrophic acne scars. You can get your salon-treatment of AHA in high concentrations done by professionals and that’s proven to help your overall skin tone. AHA treatments are done by cosmetic professionals or dermatologists usually in the autumn as this treatment make your skin very sensitive to the sun. During the treatment your skin is peeling and new layers of the skin are coming to the surface.
This can be crucial and beneficial for some types of scars, but at the same time for more serious acne scars you must consider IPL lasers and dermabrasion treatments with your doctor. Lasers are known to fix acne scars very well but you must be careful and do not let everybody to work with lasers around your skin. Be around proven people and do not trust to every cosmetic-salon, because their goal is to make money in the first place.
ACNE! How to get rid of it without buying products from the store!
July 17, 2008
I can only think of 2 things that you can do for yourself
- Wash your face with soap and water every couple of hours every day to keep it oil free
- Pop the pimples that show the most - it would most likely take forever to get the ones that don’t show unless you’re close anyway. A neat trick is to put a warm washcloth on your face then try popping. It opens up the pores so you don’t need as much pressure to pop one.
That’s all I can think of but I would recommend something store bought anyway.
They simply work better then home remedies. But remember to use as directed because if you use it too much you can dry out your face which is even worse because it’s itchy and always remember - If it’ s a very bad case of Acne check in with a dermatologist!!
What’s the best treatment for acne scars?
July 17, 2008
And that leaves your skin clear and natural - when you’re under 25 ?
In my opinion I would say that the best thing I have come across so far is micro-needling, I have used many products and creams to get rid of acne scars and this has come out on top of them all.
Micro-needling of the skin is an increasingly common cosmetic procedure, but the Scientia Derma Roller is an FDA approved application which is simple enough that you can perform it yourself at home. In fact, it has similar results to Laser Treatment, Chemical Peels and Dermabrasion, but it is considerably less invasive and carries only a fraction of the cost.
